We created grey box blackouts for necessary user interfaces. This task serves the purpose of letting us have an overview on layout placements of icons and interactable features the game includes. It’s shown through distributed clickable icons and buttons across different screens, providing a visual template to guide our assets and written information.

Sketchbook will feature multiple different layouts, but our focus was on the information page. This will be the area that players will spend most of their time in, and having it look visually pleasing will be important.

Other sketchbook layouts are the map and key clues sections. The map will be a blank double-page spread that will be updated the more players explore an area. The key clues will feature a mind map of the highlighted words that players have interacted with in the info page. Having more key clues and interpreting them will reveal more sentences, which will be shown in the latter section of the page.
