As a beginner to modeling faces in Blender I use a guide to create a toon like face which should blend well with the rest of the models that Yao has made. Following the guide I added loop cuts to a cube to block out the overall face of the model. Then I plot out the eye and mouth area according to the guide.

This shows the vertices that make up the shape of the face. There are a number of things that might need to be changed to ensure that the face works, which will be addressed later on in the process. I think for the face overall it appears a bit square-shaped instead of a smooth ball, which most likely stems from the starting shape being a cube. I intentionally avoid making the ears, as I will be covering them up with hair so it will not be visible to players. However, I am happy with the shape of the face, so I will be moving on to the hair and body of the model.
