Mesh

The horn has gone through several methods as to how to shape it, much like my reference drawing. It uses the Bézier curve mesh to mark out the rough shape, then is depth is added to match the thickness. As its horn had an edge section where they connect closely, I had to further adjust the mesh topology to have the results to match what I desired while also need to shape how it should look from the front view.

Texture Painting The base colour of this creature remains on a simple combination of cream on its fur and blue on its horn, I wanted to add more variation to this by having secondary “shadows” on its fur, and brown colours on its hooves and claws. For the horn, I plan to make a crystal material in Unity rather than just painting them on the image texture. This lets me have a look at how well it would combine as of how I’ve done ‘ore-like’ textures for the jade rabbit.

Rigging & Weight Painting The large ratio of fur on the front section of this creature means the weight painting for the bones would need to be adjusted according. Its tail has the most amount of bones out of all the creatures so far, so each weight on them would need to bend smoothly rather than resulted with a hard egde bend.
